From March 12th-14th, 2019, the 2nd South-East African and European Conference on Refugees and Forced Migrants: Health in Diversity, Diversity in Health? that I co-organized with Dr. Sellah Lusweti from Pwani University took place in Kilifi, Kenya.
The conference presented African and European perspectives on diversity and health, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach (political science, law, economics, sociology, anthropology, medicine) in order to offer a broad analysis of different health and diversity-related issues. We will be publishing the conference papers in a edited volume with Springer VS at the beginning of next year.
In the meantime, please check out the anthology for the last refugee and migration conference in 2016 that I co-edited with Prof. Ulrich Becker and Prof. Elisabeth Wacker. The book, titled Refugees and Forced Migrants in Africa and the EU: Comparative and Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Challenges and Solutions, is available following this link or can be accessed via SpringerLink.
